When it comes health and safety, we’re helping our clients protect our communities. As a Health & Safety (H&S) Manager, you’ll aid in the development, implementation, and administration of safety, health, occupational health, fire protection/prevention, and equipment and property protection programs at multiple locations. This on-site support position can include up to 50% travel. You’ll have the opportunity to perform assessments of Health & Safety performance at projects throughout the United States, work with project teams to protect our employees, and assist with development and provision of training for site personnel. You’ll lead teams by instilling a commitment to health and safety culture, track key safety and health leading indicators, and work to address gaps in programs. When required, you’ll dive deep into incident and near miss causation with an intent to prevent recurrence. You’ll also have the chance to utilize your technical expertise to mentor our operational teams, helping them to discover purpose and drive, leading to safety, health, and wellbeing as lifestyle choices.
· Associate’s degree in industrial hygiene, safety or engineering
· Three to ten years of progressive HSE experience
· Valid driver’s license with no major infractions in last five years
· Documented experience in hazard assessment on construction and general industry sites
· Experience with preparing and conducting safety training and safety motivational discussions
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
· Knowledge of federal regulatory requirements in safety, health, and environmental
· Ability to manage competing demands; accept, and act upon criticism and constructive feedback; be extremely adaptable and flexible
Outstanding time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
· Skilled/Effective oral and written communication skills
· Outstanding customer service background
Ideally, You’ll Also Have: · Master’s Degree in environmental science, engineering, industrial hygiene, or safety
· Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Industrial Hygiene (CIH) certification
· Graduate of applicable ABET accredited program
· Knowledge of appropriate procedures for handling sensitive and confidential medical information; experience with Workman’s Compensation system · Demonstrated experience conducting injury case management · Knowledge of California health, safety, and environmental regulations · Experience with regulatory agency inspections and responding to agency requests · Safety work experience at high-tech or pharmaceutics sites
