ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1. Development includes but not limited to analysis, technical design, customized coding, software integration, configuring solutions, or using applications supporting Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, Loan Trading and Syndication, Investment Banking, Credit, Risk, and integration tools such as MuleSoft, TIBCO or other event-driven message transmission capabilities or integration products to customize or generate a product.
2. Lead / conduct robust unit testing associated to user stories completed during the current sprint. Where possible, drive to achieve automated unit testing leveraging DevSecOps practices and tools implemented in the software development pipeline.
3. As a lead. ensures adherence to company and industry standards.
4. Provide technical consultation on extremely challenging or unusual situations.
5. Provide leadership / direction in the design, development and maintenance of solutions as well as play an active role as part of a platform team through the Product Development lifecycle.
8. Leverage continuous engineering practices to effectively deliver business value. Responsible for supporting / overseeing integration and functional testing. Insure code is developed in accordance with the acceptance criteria established by the Product Owner.
9. Mentor less experienced teammates to build technical expertise.
10. May have people management responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems and seven years of experience as a developer or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
2. Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
3. Ability to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using experience, judgment, innovative thinking and precedents
4. Experience participating in Capital Markets initiatives with a focus on IT Delivery
5. Ability to communicate complex information in a logical and straightforward manner
6. Demonstrable experience working in an Agile delivery methodology
7. Capital Markets domain expertise – specific knowledge of the sales and trading lifecycle, relevant products being supported and a general understanding of the regulatory requirements
8. Ability to lead complex projects, ability to break the work down into manageable and easily understood scope
9. Sophisticated analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical and business problems
10. Ability to influence others at senior levels to adopt a new perspective

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree or MBA, CFA and ten years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
2. Banking or financial services experience
3. SaFE Agile certification or commensurate designation

Visual / Audio / Speaking

Able to access and interpret client information received from the computer and able to hear and speak with individuals in person and on the phone.

Manual Dexterity / Keyboarding

Able to work standard office equipment, including PC keyboard and mouse, copy/fax machines, and printers.

Able to work all hours scheduled, including overtime as directed by manager/supervisor and required by business need
