DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software and maintain responsibility for a team of software engineers. Ensure applications meet the requirements of internal and external users. Monitor availability by taking a holistic view of system health for all applications, and build and onboard strategic software solutions to manage platform infrastructure and applications. Build automated solutions to reduce manual toil for production support and application development teams. Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Trading leads to build and operate sustainable productions systems that can evolve and adapt to changes in a global business environment. Partner with application owners to implement consistent strategic monitoring and observability solutions for applications moving to the public cloud. Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning. Balance feature development speed and reliability with well- defined service level objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Information Systems or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Site Reliability Engineer, Software Engineer, Technology Analyst, IT Consultant or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Information Systems or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Lead Site Reliability Engineer, Software Engineer, Technology Analyst, IT Consultant or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: designing, monitoring, and debugging software applications; DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering tools including Application Performance Monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamic, or Datadog; Splunk log aggregation monitoring; visualization tools such as Grafana or Tableau; working on applications involving databases such as Oracle, DB2, or MYSQL; middle tier such as Java, J2EE; service oriented architectures such as Spring; front-end services such as JavaScript; managing global teams; working through software development lifecycle; Agile teams leveraging scrum methodology.

Full-Time. Salary: $200,000 - $260,000 per year.
