As a member of our Core foundational platforms Operations Engineering Database Management team, you have the opportunity to learn – and make a difference – at one of the world’s most innovative financial firms. Your responsibilities will span monitoring, incident management, risk control, performance tuning, patching, upgrades and migration. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

• B.Tech/MCA Degree or equivalent experience

• Strong experience with configuration and advance features of SQL Server

• Experience with SQL Version 2008/2012/2016/2019 and exposure to MSSQL on Linux.

• Strong experience with SQL Server clusters with multiple nodes on each cluster, mirroring, logshipping, Always-on and other methods of disaster recovery

• Migration of SQL Server databases from on Prem to Public Cloud and administrating MSSQL DB's in Public Cloud

• Experience with SSIS packages, SSRS and SSAS

• Knowledge of SAN, VM’s, security, capacity planning, backup and recovery

• Solid skills in database performance tuning, optimizing queries and stored procedures

• Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages: Python, SQL Scripting, Powershell Scripting and/or Perl/YAML (preferably). Also experience with Microservices is desirable

• Demonstrated ability to implement automated process to improve database system reliability

• Skill at troubleshooting complex problems

• Strong critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills

• Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including Agile development methodology

• Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
