Responsibilities:
Providing strategic program leadership and driving program alignment in a matrixed, highly complex regulated environment
Spearheading large scale Risk Management Program Management/Governance
Designing and developing a program-specific risk culture strategy in a complex dynamic environment, collaborating closely with multiple stakeholders across the enterprise
Leading critical, targeted immediate risk reviews providing oversight and managing timelines, ensuring on time delivery within a challenging environment while simultaneously managing risk
Driving and executing various governance functions, such as senior management committee meetings, board reporting, and other reporting as needed, working closely with key stakeholders to develop, analyze and deliver materials
Communicating program/initiative requirements across the organization, to both internal and external stakeholders as needed
Partnering cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery
Report out on program status, risks, issues and decisions to a wide variety of constituents across the company; flags critical risks and/or concerns to Risk Management and Business Leadership
Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments
The person will:
Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive projects and program efforts
Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management in a highly regulated environment, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment
Display a passion for coaching and developing others through their leadership style and presence, whether as direct reports, extended team members or third party resources
Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company, as well as external stakeholders and regulatory agencies, to manage, inform and influence outcomes
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 10 years of risk management experience
At least 7 years of project or program management experience
At least 7 years of experience supporting, partnering or interacting with internal business clients
At least 5 years of people management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree or MBA
10+ years of project or program management experience
10+ years of people management experience
Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
5+ years of project management experience leading cross functional programs in risk
Experience working in the financial services industry
