Senior Systems Engineer with Vast Data, Inc.

*Telecommuting role to be performed anywhere in the U.S.

Salary: $230,000 - $250,000/year

Job Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or related role. Must have five (5) years of experience with: Apache Hadoop; Apache Impala; Apache Hive; Apache Spark; Enterprise Data Warehousing; Deep Relational Database (RDBMS); Apache KUDU; and Apache Kafka. Must have four (4) years of experience with: Apache HBase; and Parquet, ORC, and Avro File Formats. Must have three (3) years of experience with Apache Nifi. Domestic and international travel required to conferences, internal meetings, and client sites.
