In this role, you will have a direct impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations by ensuring projects are tracked and organized. You will play a crucial role in leading and developing your MOS, as well as collaborating with engineering to meet tooling needs and drive continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the tool room, including tracking cycle-times, projects, and distribution.
- Lead and develop a MOS that provides cross functional satisfaction between the tool makers and engineering.
- Ensure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Organize and track projects, ensuring that jobs are delivered in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify tooling needs.
- Conduct and lead regular scheduled meetings with internal or external customers.
- Liaison with/represent the team to the rest of the organization.
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
YOU MUST HAVE
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in tool room management or a related field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Technical expertise in tool maintenance and repair.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
WE VALUE
- Strong computer skills: Solidworks, Excel, Autocad, Word, CAD-CAM, Mastercam
- Experience with inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
