The following are responsibilities of the position:
• To increase the business user Literacy of analyzing and engineering data on our enterprise data platforms including Cloudera Hadoop and Teradata through best practices, training, knowledge management, user support and user oversight.
• To engineer advanced solutions on our enterprise data platforms for various use cases for our team and as support to other teams.
• To perform analysis of data for various use cases for our team and as support to other teams.
• Drive innovation to improve stability, minimize data proliferation, and reduce information security exposure.
• Establish and drive Data Engineering strategies that contribute to data usage within business processed.
• Orchestrate efforts between the Technology team and the business users on business impacting changes.
• Oversee capital projects for the continued improvement and delivery of capabilities related the engineering of data. This includes establishing scope, budgets, approvals, prioritizations, testing and release of deliverables.Required Skills include:
• Team building and development.
• Customer Service and relationship building with partners.
• Strong Knowledge of Cloudera Hadoop, Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, Kafka, SQL, Python, Spark.
• Knowledge of MongoDB, ElasticSearch, NEO4J, Data Mesh/Fabric, Denodo.
• Knowledge of Capital/Expense Financial operations including budgeting and tracking.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and JIRA tool.
• Ability to present to executives.
