What you`ll do

In the enterprise world where organizations want to accelerate their application development and unlock the value of their data, the underlying data model is easily the most important component of any application. Data Modeling in ABAP is done with the ABAP Dictionary and ABAP CDS.
The biggest upcoming challenge is to evolve, re-design and enhance the ABAP Dictionary to take it to the next level regarding stability, consistency, performance, and supportability to provide a rock-solid foundation for the mass usage of data models built with our frameworks.

Your tasks will include:

• The full software development life cycle: Requirement gathering and analysis, architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance
• Code in ABAP
• Apply and foster agile methods like Scrum, test-driven development, and pair programming
• Consulting and support for internal and external customers
• Transforming data models in ABAP Dictionary into physical data models for the SAP HANA database
• Enabling near-zero downtime during SAP system upgrades by efficiently handling changes to data models and their dependencies and handling data transformations

Ideally, you have most of the following experiences and skills:

• A good to excellent degree in computer science, mathematics, natural sciences, engineering or related fields
• Good knowledge about object-oriented design and programming
• Fluent German (at least C1 level) and English language skills is a must
• Knowledge about database systems, SQL and relational database skills are beneficial. SAP HANA knowledge is preferred
