As an Advanced Electrical Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining electrical power systems which include ICP (Industrial control panels), pumps, sensors, and sensitive analog instrumentation. Other responsibilities may include developing lab and production power requirements to drive lab and production area layout and build. You would work closely with other power and control engineers and scientists for design requirements and design implementation.

You will report directly to our Sr R&D Manager and you'll work out of our Golden Valley, MN location on a regular office (non-hybrid) work schedule.In this role, you will impact the company's ability to deliver efficient and sustainable power solutions, contributing to the advancement of energy technologies and addressing critical challenges in the industry.

The annual base salary range for this position is $105,000.00 - $131,000.00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Design and develop electrical and control systems
• Conduct feasibility studies and analyze technical requirements
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution
• Provide technical guidance and support to cross functional engineers and scientists

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 5+ years experience in control panel design, design of power components/distribution, and electrical interference mitigation for low power analog sensing circuits in an industrial environment
  • Proficiency in 2D CAD tools to generate electrical schematics, such as AutoCAD or Solidworks Electrical
  • Knowledge of high and low power devices, such as VFD’s, circuit protection, and IO for the design of electrical control systems

WE VALUE

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field + 3 years experience
  • Experience with power system analysis and simulation tools
  • Working knowledge of the NEC (National Electric Code), NFPA 79, UL508A (Standard for safety – Industrial Control Panels), and IEC standards for control panel design and safety
  • Experience utilizing measurement devices such as oscilloscopes and power meters
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
