Product Engineer

As a
Product Engineer,you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Expanding and managing our product and process understanding for assigned products
• Leading product changes and supporting process changes. Ensuring they are carried out with full knowledge of the implications and according to change control procedures
• Supporting the manufacturing plants in raw material changes, dual sourcing, cost saving and supply interruption prevention projects protecting a large global business
• Creating, reviewing, approving and owning product standards and test methods to support customer requirements. Driving common product standards across global sites, working with product support teams in other regions
• Assisting the plants with complaint resolution and reduction projects as needed. Using root cause analysis to identify failure modes
• Other duties as assigned

Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Two (2) years combined product and/or process engineering experience in a private, public, government or military environment
• Two (2) years of statistical analysis experience or pressure sensitive adhesives experience.
• Experience collaborating with laboratory and manufacturing colleagues in other regions of the world

Work location:

• Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Maplewood )
