The Computing Systems Products Group, through The Unified Computing Systems creative architecture, helps to enable the fully unified data center. We architect the next generation unified computing systems, including compute, storage, network, visualization and management into a single platform.
What You'll Do
In this highly visible role as Hardware Engineer, you will:
- Own design and validation of a server sub-system.
- Ensure design meets functional specs.
- Work independently on assigned tasks.
- Participate as a valuable team member to deliver quality products on time.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings and teams.
- Participate in creating functional specifications and technical documentation.
- Work with and manage JDMs for server product development.
Who You'll Work With
The team designs, implements, and delivers industry leading computing system products. You will be part of a dynamic and passionate team working on innovative server projects. You'll work cross functionally with software, mechanical, signal integrity and product management teams.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and 5+ years of experience in system level development.
- Experience in hardware designs and validation.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and 3+ years of experience in system level development.
- Experience in the server/computer/network/storage industry.
- Experience with PCIe adapters and switches.
- Experience in hardware validation using lab equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, and Spectrum Analyzers.
- Proven experience creating test scripts in Python.
- Hands on board design knowledge, including design tools such as Cadence Concept and Allegro.
- Experience with shipping products.
