- This position is an integral part of Citi Technology Infrastructure supporting Global Enterprise Storage
- Services functions are responsible for the end-to-end service ownership for their domain, including the total cost of ownership, service quality and responsiveness. Team members within the Services functions will engineer and certify platform builds and capabilities, oversee execution of builds, and break/fix where scripting and automation are not possible. They will manage problems, service improvements and continuity of business/resiliency testing and non-routine move, add and change activities for their service domain.

- Hardware Storage Engineering & Management
- Software Storage Engineering & Data Management
- The role requires off-shift, weekend, and on-call support.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and propose new Storage Management solutions and approaches, standardizing processes across CTI when possible, to deliver improved functionality and more efficient outputs. This applies to both Hardware (IBM DS8K, TS7700, TS4500, EMC PMAX, IBM FS9000) and Software (SMS, HSM, DSF/DSS, CA-Vantage, T-REXX) environments.
- Oversee end-to-end Storage Management process, identifying automation needs, documenting to understand and execute against project scope, and partnering alongside key partners to design and implement solutions that match the need of the business
- Provide DASD management support for z/OS, z/VM, TPF, vIDAA and LinuxONE environments.
- Lead integration coordination for Enterprise Storage Management solutions.
- Provide ongoing technical support of enterprise storage Tape & Disk subsystems.
- Manage storage configuration changes following standard CTI change control processes.
- Work with and support other technical groups to provide end-to-end service and problem identification/resolution.
- Support the Hotline/On-Call problem management & support process.
- Help to identify, develop and implement new or improved processes to streamline operations, increase quality and availability of services.
- Provide technical support during the normal working day. Provide on-call, weekend, and off-hour support to meet agreed SLAs. Satisfy any on-site support requirements as needed.
- Evaluate new enterprise storage hardware and software, research ways and means of improving performance and monitoring, increase reliability, make recommendations to management and implement innovations as appropriate. (exp: zEDC compression, IBM Pervasive Encryption, SGC (SafeGuarded COPY), Thin Provisioning)
- Monitor performance of the storage infrastructure, initiate remedial action where necessary, adhering to the standard CTI change control and escalation procedures.
- Produce & maintain clear technical documentation.
- Develop plans supporting Life-Cycle-Management of storage resources.
- Develop & Maintain Management, Chargeback, and Utilization Reporting.
- Convene & conduct meetings, develop project plans, manage projects to completion and meet agreed target dates.
- Comply with all audit & compliance requirements. Ensure full compliance with all local-regional-global regulatory policies, processes and procedures.
- Act as a subject matter expert providing guidance and direction in Enterprise Storage Management processes

Skills / Experience Levels:- 8 years’ experience working with mainframe Storage Management.
- Bachelor's degree (Computer Science or Engineering degree preferred) or equivalent work experience.
- Good communication skills with the ability to articulate to partners and technical teams.
- Demonstrable experience in Enterprise Storage Management of z/OS environment.

- Mainframe storage management support experience with extensive exposure to one or more of the following categories: Hardware, Catalogs, SMS, Performance, Capacity, Replication Technology, Reporting, and Analytics.
- Accustomed to supporting a 24x7 high value operation, a rapid rate of technical change, expectations of high reliability and adherence to change control disciplines.
- Storage Management experience, preferably in a major financial institution.
- Experience participating in technical evaluations and research.
