The Business Continuity Planning (BCP) senior manager’s key responsibility is driving the execution of the BCP strategy. The responsibility includes developing, deploying, and maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery (DR) strategies & solutions, including risk assessments, business impact analyses, and strategy selection. The role requires creating/validating BCP-DR procedures, alongside planning, and conducting regular mock-disaster exercises to test the adequacy of existing plans and strategies. Facilitate debriefing sessions, and update procedures and plans based on lessons learned. Be the champion for continuity efforts after a disruption event. Additional responsibilities include risk, controls, and compliance management, supporting BCP-DR audit and examination activities. Support development & maintenance of policies, standards & procedures that are aligned with the industry best practices (NIST, FFIEC BCP handbook).
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting a clear direction for BCP with the right balance between global-local needs and ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities with the participating teams
- Continuously assess the BCP community performance and develop necessary skills by coaching individual members.
- Lead the BIA, ensure that plans and strategies are appropriate, cohesive, and viable, and could be used to recover key functions within required time frames.
- Design, coordinate, and execute BCP-DR annual test exercises for critical business processes, and produce test reports including lessons learned. Coordinate follow-up on lessons as required.
- Develop recovery priorities, timelines, and strategies for the sequence of recovery components.
- Support review and maintenance of business continuity policy, standards, and processes.
- Support reporting and tracking of business continuity-related issues and remediation activities.
- Support the identification of Business Continuity related risks (internal/external), the assessment of their likelihood, as well as potential impacts and risk mitigation plans.
- Train BCP POC in the implementation of BC-DR processes, and standards and impart training to ensure recoverability of business processes and supporting services.
- Proactively identify and implement BCP program and process improvements.
- Provide ongoing SME guidance and assistance on business continuity matters.
- Guide management in self-assessing their control environment.
- Assist Crisis Management / Incident Management teams during service disruption events, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with an overall experience of 15 years
- Hands-on experience in the area of process improvement, standardization, and Automation
- Comprehensive understanding of E2E processes in Global Business Services
- Ability to synthesize complex situations and develop solutions within a changing environment.
- Experience in providing clear guidance and instructions to operational teams and coaching
- Complete familiarity with Microsoft Office or equivalent tools
- Strong data analysis and RCA capability
- Virtual team management skill
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent experience, preferably in business administration
- Relevant Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Risk, or Audit certifications are preferred. (One or more certifications MBCP, CBCP, ABCP, CRISC, CISA)
