  • Leads… ensures products, systems, or processes meet all applicable Airworthiness Authority regulatory requirements and industry standards.…
  • Implements… team actions to resolve issues related to compliance, ensuring products are ready for market launch.
  • Determines… interaction with regulatory bodies and certification agencies to obtain necessary approvals and certifications, as directed and approved by their supervisor.
  • Supports… participate and/or perform or oversee testing and evaluations to verify compliance with Airworthiness Authority regulations.
  • Willingness… to possess in-depth technical knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and testing methodologies and aerospace design.…


To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering(completed and verified prior to start)
  • Seven (7) years of Civil Aircraft Regulatory Environment in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Current, valid Driver’s License.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • 7+ years of work experience in Civil Aircraft Regulatory Environment, including design, test, and participation with compliance demonstrations to US Federal Aviation Administration Airworthiness and other Foreign Airworthiness Authority Standards.
  • Experience with NADCAP, AS13100 and or FAA PMA
  • Experience with AS/EN9100
  • Fluent in reading/writing English
  • Proficient with MS Office and Teams environment

Work location:

  • Hybrid
  • St. Paul, MN; Aberdeen, SD; or Springfield MO preferred; Other 3M based sights will be considered.

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
