What You'll Do:

  • Observe : As a critical thinker and problem solver, observe, understand, and obsess about consumer behaviors and trends. Understand the business objectives for Postmates, Uber, and other delivery platforms. Ask the right questions, and call out the risks and opportunities.
  • Ideate : Create innovative, scalable strategies and solutions for sophisticated business problems without clearly defined playbooks. Develop effective strategies for growth and efficiency in highly competitive markets. Define OKR’s, KPI's, and build business cases for high impact projects.
  • Advocate : Develop and contribute to presentations, reports, and analysis to shape strategy and execution. Digest and collaborate on relevant PRD's to advocate on behalf of Postmates, increasing transparency and defining strategic direction. Understand what’s coming down the product pipeline, and what’s relevant for Posmates.
  • Collaborate : Work with cross-functional stakeholders across strategy, product, operations, marketing, finance, legal, and external partners to gain alignment, and broker effective working. Report to senior leadership on the progress of workstreams, and be the first to flag sensitivities. Be a bi-directional ambassador for Postmates and Delivery product.
  • Operationalize : Build, launch, run, and scale solutions that enable growth through trial, engagement, and retention. Take accountability for project outcomes and ensure delivery on critical project metrics through post-analysis and updates to business and product leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years' experience in technology, operations, consulting, finance, product strategy or similar fields
  • SQL proficiency
  • Excel proficiency
  • Bachelor's degree, preferrably in Data Analytics, Business Admisitration, Computer Science or related fields

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Product strategy and/or product operations experience highly preferred
  • Experience in operations with a familiarity of the metrics that drive performance (e.g. consumer growth and engagement, city or merchant related)
  • Experience in growth or efficiency initiatives, with a fluency in acquisition / adoption / retention metrics, and the performance levers that drive them
  • Familiarity with product development cycle and product planning process e.g. regular contributor to RFC's, PRD's, XP's, JIRA's, product configurations or rollouts
  • Critical and structured thinking, with a natural curiosity and confidence to seek out answers, and propose solutions where there may not yet be an answer
  • Phenomenal collaborator, and someone who proactively partners across teams, able to influence senior and external stakeholders
  • Exceptional communicator across written and spoken communications, with an ability to clearly articulate complex concepts
  • Strong project management skills, comfortable working independently
  • Self-motivated, solutions-orientated, with a bias for impact and action
  • Fluency with data analytics and statistical methods
  • Comfortable understanding P&L and financial fundamentals
  • Prior experience in innovation, consulting or strategy work, project or operations management, or investment banking or financial management

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$124,000 per year - USD$137,500 per year.

For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$124,000 per year - USD$137,500 per year.
