Develop analysis tools to track performance of contractors and/or installed process systems
Manage and implement small utility construction projects from start to finish. Proficiency in reading P&IDs and technical specifications is key
Works with the field trade crews to implement engineered control automation designs for heavy chemical and process utility systems
Interface with engineers to develop alternative designs to overcome field install and commissioning issues. This includes submitting engineering "request for information", performing field walks, design exploration meetings to resolve issues promptly
Works with the engineering, construction and supply chain teams to specify/purchase/track sensors, variable frequency drives, PLC panels and automated control valves for installation
Build a budget, with necessary justifications and submit for approval. Track productivity and cost of installations against approved budget and highlight weekly burn rates for field installation crews
Liaison with facilities operations and manufacturing teams to turnover completed and functional utility process systems. And ensure that no outstanding design or implementation punch list items remain
What You’ll Bring
5+ years of prior work experience managing I&C or Electrical construction or commissioning projects
Mastery of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio. Proficiency with using P6 or Microsoft project schedules
Basic background in 3D model, control / electrical / process design, instrument calibration and testing
Strong willingness to collaborate cross-functionally, work hands-on, and dive into open-ended projects in a fast-paced evolving environment
Willingness to work in field conditions that may require the candidate to operate lifts and use of common power and hand tools
Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
Well organized with meticulous attention to detail
