As a Director, Software Engineering – Walmart Commerce Platform, you'll lead a fast-moving, energetic, and highly motivated team engineering managers and engineers who design, develop, and operate large-scale mobile and web platforms that support multiple markets at Walmart
- Partner with other thought leaders to extend mobile and web platform for multiple markets at Walmart
- Provide a clear vision for architecture that focuses on platform scalability, performance, and cost efficiency
- Exceptional communication to articulate technical decisions to senior leaders and stakeholders
- Lead a team of senior engineers and managers driving high-impact, maturity, and growth of the mobile and web Platform.
- Influence and build a strong team culture of high quality, agility, and creativity
- Provide coaching, supervision, and career development opportunities for team members
- Build and develop high-performing talent team
- Operating with excellence – Set an example in managing to KPIs, delivering excellence, presenting at all levels, and developing yourself and others.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in technical leadership
- 5+ years of experience building mobile and/or web platforms
- 5+ years of experience in systems design, algorithms, and distributed systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to React, Swift and Kotlin
- Exposure to Next.js, GraphQL
- Experience in production system operations (logging, telemetry, alerting etc.)
- Attitude to thrive in a fun, fast-paced start-up like environment
- Has ambition and vigor to add value to a rapidly growing development team

The annual salary range for this position is $169,000.00-$338,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: - Stock

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
