KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages a high performing team of Materials Scientists, Engineers, and Technicians
- Oversees technical work, ensures team execution of customer-driven milestones and deliverables
- Champions materials related research projects
- Sets employees goals, manages achievement, mentors, conducts performance assessments
- Provides direction into new products, process, standards, or op plans in alignment with business strategies
- Manages and distributes team workload to ensure proper resource alignment
- Ensures short- and long-term resource availability
- Develops team strategy and materials technology roadmap
- Establishes a materials research team support plan across E&I technology platforms
This position is incentive plan eligible.
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements. Applicants must also be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of security processing.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics).
- 8+ years of experience in Material Science and/or Engineering
- 5+ years’ experience leading technical teams
- Strong knowledge in material science methodologies, tools, and laboratory operations
- S. citizenship to obtain and maintain a security clearance
