Job Summary

As an Investment Analyst within J.P. Morgan Growth Equity Partners, you will be a part of a venture capital and growth equity fund focused on Series B through pre-IPO investing in AI, SaaS, Cybersecurity, FinTech, and Consumer companies. Your responsibilities will include evaluation of new investment opportunities, detailed due diligence, preparation of internal investment materials, participation in weekly team meetings including investment committees, and active management of existing investments. We value our associates as critical members of the investment team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop investment theses, themes, and market maps based on in-depth fundamental research
  • Evaluate and analyze investment opportunities, with the purpose of forming independent investment decisions
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence on prospective investments
  • Build and maintain financial models and conduct valuation analyses
  • Ongoing monitoring and support of portfolio companies
  • Maintain the team’s CRM system and proprietary deal database
  • Perform other responsibilities related to executing the investment mandate of the fund

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited University or College
  • 2+ years of related work experience following completion of undergraduate program
  • Strong analytic and communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exhibit attention to detail with a demonstrable ability to review and articulate financial statements
  • Team oriented mindset
  • Exceptional work ethic
  • Results oriented and self-motivated with an ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Demonstrable interest in venture and growth investing

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Preference for direct investment or Investment Banking experience
