Description
As a Performance Control Architect, your job responsibilities will include:
Key Qualifications
  • Research experience investigating execution efficiency in computing systems, particularly on real silicon.
  • Comprehensive statistics and quantitative analysis skills.
  • Understanding of the techniques used to manage power delivery and thermal limits in modern systems
  • Hands-on experience with hardware instrumentation, including power measurement and performance counters
  • Knowledge of computer architecture, including the relationships between CPUs, GPUs, other compute clusters and memory hierarchy
  • Userland software (e.g., application, simulation, test harness, data analysis) development experience in environments such as C, C++, Objective-C, Swift, Python, Perl or MATLAB is essential
  • Kernel software development experience in C or C++ is desirable
Education & Experience
B.S. and a minimum of 20 years of relevant industry experience. M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $189,800 and $284,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
