Job Summary (Primary function)

Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)

Oversee internal operations, streamlining processes, and ensuring efficient communication and collaboration across the organization.

Drive cross-functional planning, goal setting, and tracking processes aligned with regional and global priorities.

Lead and manage key projects, ensuring timely and high-quality execution, and tracking progress against strategic goals.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in both Japan and INTL/Global, including cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with projects and initiatives, and develop contingency plans.

Support the organization through periods of change, ensuring effective communication and a positive culture.

Shape and manage key forums (e.g., Japan LT Meeting) to enable effective decision-making.

Collaborate with global and international functions (Marketing, Commercial Operations, Medical, Market Access, Regulatory, etc.) to remove barriers and accelerate progress.

Support onboarding, team development, and cultural integration efforts as the organization scales.

Embody and foster a “SOLVE ON.” mindset of Incyte.

Take ownership of undefined challenges and work across teams to develop pragmatic solutions.

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)

BA/BS required, MBA or advanced degree (PhD, MD) preferred.

At least 5-10 years of professional industry experience with a successful track record in Corporate Strategy, Brand Management, and/or Marketing with strong analytical and strategic business skills.

Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including business operations, policies, and procedures.

Ability to manage ambiguity and solve unstructured problems with a pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset.

Skilled at leading and influencing teams without direct authority, building strong relationships and fostering collaboration.

Experience working with pre-launch, launch, &/or on-market commercial teams preferred. Self-starter, and proactively driving projects toward successful completion.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.

Strong ability to identify and solve complex problems, analyze data, and develop innovative solutions

Self-starter, learns fast, quickly grasps the essence of concepts, can change course rapidly where required, demonstrates intellectual curiosity.

High fluency in both Japanese and English required.

Excellent command of MS PowerPoint and MS Excel
