JD, LLB, equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.
7 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
7 years of experience with legal, regulatory and litigation matters, including addressing, minimizing, and avoiding regulatory risk.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience developing, evaluating, and maintaining programs that ensure products comply with laws, regulations, and external commitments.
Experience engaging with regulators, including State Attorney Generals (AGs), Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Department of Justice(DOJ), and global data protection or consumer protection authorities.
Experience with managing projects and partnering effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience working with technology companies and ability to understand complex technical issues.
Experience with high risk incident response within internet or technology companies, including expertise in privacy, data security, or consumer protection subject matter.
Experience in public company boards and their counsel, including special committees and audit committees.
