Minimum qualifications:
- JD, LLB, equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.
- 7 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
- 7 years of experience with legal, regulatory and litigation matters, including addressing, minimizing, and avoiding regulatory risk.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience developing, evaluating, and maintaining programs that ensure products comply with laws, regulations, and external commitments.
- Experience engaging with regulators, including State Attorney Generals (AGs), Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Department of Justice(DOJ), and global data protection or consumer protection authorities.
- Experience with managing projects and partnering effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience working with technology companies and ability to understand complex technical issues.
- Experience with high risk incident response within internet or technology companies, including expertise in privacy, data security, or consumer protection subject matter.
- Experience in public company boards and their counsel, including special committees and audit committees.
