Key Qualifications
  • Excellent programming skills with knowledge of C/C+.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems, hardware, and embedded systems.
  • Proven experience in writing complex kernel drivers and embedded firmware.
  • Collaborates well with cross functional engineering teams.
  • Passionate about new technology bring-up with hardware/software dependencies.
Education & Experience
B.S., M.S. in Electrical & Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
Additional Requirements
  • - 3+ years of industry experience developing device drivers and/or hardware bring-up.
  • - Proven C/C++ skills are required.
  • - Hands on experience with IOKit or micro-controller development a plus.
  • - Comfortable reading schematics and working with logic analyzers and/or oscilloscopes.
  • - Knowledge of computer and/or smartphone system architectures. Familiarity with modern power management techniques.
  • - Familiarity of battery management algorithms.
  • - Knowledge of control system theory
  • - Experience with IOKit drivers on macOS or iOS.
  • - Familiarity with wireless charging standards such as Qi (WPC) or PMA.
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900 and $256,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
