Mercury Technology Delivery Project Manager

Your key responsibilities

Overall responsibility for the successful planning, execution, and closure of infrastructure projects

• Owner of the end-to-end delivery plan
• Monitor project baselines to ensure activities are occurring as planned
• Proactively identify risks and issues on programs/ projects, helping team to develop risk management and issue management plans
• Weekly status reporting for the project team and leadership
• Build trusted relationships with contacts in other IT teams

Skills and attributes for success

• Excellent English language skills (verbal and written)

• Technical knowledge of Network, OS, DB and other IT infrastructure components
• Basic awareness of different cultures and working practices across the regions

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in a corporate IT environment
• 2 to 3 years of experience in planning and execution of global infrastructure plans/projects
• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience
• Technical knowledge of Network, OS, DB and other IT infrastructure components for large SAP implementations
• Experience on complex Global SAP projects
• Project Management knowledge (processes, lifecycle)
• Strong task orientated, organizational and planning skills
• Customer orientation and responsiveness
• Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change
• Outstanding self-management, information presentation and interpersonal communication
• English language skills — excellent verbal and written communication

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Work experience in a professional services industry
• A relevant program/project management qualification (e.g. Prince Practioner, PMP) would be advantageous
• Familiarity with ITIL v2 or 3 would be advantageous
• Planning and quality certificates advantageous
