Typical work tasks include:
• Assist in the development and management of rail plans, feasibility studies, conceptual design documents, service development and planning for rail and transit projects.
• Assist in data collection and analysis related to transit operations planning and ridership.
• Participate in stakeholder engagement activities, including meetings and workshops.
• Help prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
• Attend project meetings and assist in the facilitation of coordination with different teams, consultants, and clients.
• Assist in the coordination of projects from conception (feasibility) through preliminary engineering.
• Provide support to planning staff members as needed.
• Currently pursing a degree in Urban/City Planning, Public Policy, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest in Rail and Transit Planning or related field and a strong desire to advance skills related transportation projects.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Ability to work and thrive in a team environment
