As an Senior Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for driving world class manufacturing automation solutions to scale our operations globally. This will involve innovating automation solutions for assembly processes, explore cutting edge technologies, design equipment and fixtures in 3D CAD.Key job responsibilities
- Utilize simulation models to identify and justify performance improvement opportunities via control logic, hardware, and process flow changes
A day in the life
- Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, robotics, mechatronics or equivalent.
- Background in Computer Vision, Machine Learning and Robotics
- Experience with building and deploying AI systems in manufacturing automation
- Experience developing integration interfaces for industrial robot manipulators
- Hands-on expertise in robotics technologies, from front-end user interfaces to back-end systems
- Experience applying modelling and simulation to industrial automation projects
- Experience working with cross functional teams, suppliers, and field operations to define system requirements and evaluation metrics
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Competence with computational packages for simulation and optimization
- Experience with programming languages
- Industrial controls engineering experience -
- Experience with complex machine learning models of physical systems, commissioning of industrial control software
- Proficiency with machine and process reliability, integration of human and automated processes, experimental design, statistical analysis
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
