What you'll do (Role Information) :

As a people manager of the Server Management team members in APJ region, you will work towards building a cohesive & motivated team, with a strong culture of collaboration. You will ensure business continuity by effective management of the team’s work – both daily operations and projects. You will work with the team to achieve their development plans and provide clear and timely feedback regarding their performance. You will identify and drive initiatives to increase the quality of operations support from the team, reduce outages, improve efficiency, identify and plug process gaps and do effective resource planning and utilization. You will bring in functional expertise in OS (primarily Linux), cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, VMWare, IBM Cloud), automation & container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible etc.

What you bring EXPERIENCE (ROLE REQUIREMENTS):

• Should have 15 + Industrial experience with atleast 5+ years of experience managing senior & experienced team members
• Good understanding of Linux based server operating systems including Linux HA cluster technologies like Pacemaker, IT security & OS hardening concepts, networking, storage, Data Center Operations etc.
• Experience managing server operations in large environments and/or in public clouds, like MS Azure, AWS, GCP. Experience in ITIL & ITSM.
• Experience communicating with customers on technical, service & operations topics, with the ability to handle escalated customer situations
• Experience implementing Agile, running large programs is a plus.
• A visionary leader who questions status quo and identifies/ implements innovative solutions.
• Fluency in English language and the ability to work in global, multi-cultural teams is a key requirement.
