Tasks include design integration and validation of different SW and HW sub-systems in simulation/emulation environment prior to tape out, system level feature bring-up, verification and performance investigation with silicon.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

• Fluent in one programming language, such as C/C++, python or Matlab.

• Working knowledge of RF transceiver structure.

• Design understanding and/or experience of Low Power features.

• Design understanding and/or experience of BT/WLAN/LTE COEX.

• Design understanding and/or experience of RTT based Location technologies.

• Solid background in physical and MAC layer design of communication systems, and extensive knowledge in signal processing algorithms (transmitter and receiver) and simulation methodologies

• Familiarity with OFDM systems and wireless communications

• Familiarity with wireless standards such as IEEE 802.11, Bluetooth or LTE.

• Familiarity with VHDL and digital verification environment.

• Familiarity with FW implementation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Applies Systems knowledge and experience to research, design, develop, simulate, and/or validate systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions while ensuring system-level requirements and standards are met.

• Performs functional analysis to drive requirements and specifications and to define and align with standards for hardware and software.

• Develops and analyzes system level design including requirements, interface definition, functional/performance definition, and implementation of a new system or modification of an existing system.

• Collaborates with own team and other teams to complete project work, including implementing and testing features and verifying the accuracy of systems.

• Develops new and innovative ideas (e.g. IDFs) for a product or feature area.

• Drives triage of problems at the system level to determine root cause and presents results of testing and debugging to team members.

Level of Responsibility:

• Works under supervision.

• Decision-making may affect work beyond immediate work group.

• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey information. May require basic negotiation, influence, tact, etc.

• Has a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to make key decisions).

• Tasks require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
