As an Applied Science Manager you will lead a cross functional team of scientists and engineers to develop science products and internal tooling to drive new product development decisions and interventions to improve existing products. Current research areas include entity resolution, generative AI, large language models, and product substitutes. You will lead your team to transform ambiguous business problems into science research and solutions, drive rapid prototypes, and develop production systems with high operational excellence.Key job responsibilities
- Hire and develop top talent, provide technical and career development guidance to both scientists and engineers in the organization.
- Leverage industry best practices to establish repeatable applied science practices, principles & processes.

- 5+ years of building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business application experience
- 3+ years of scientists or machine learning engineers management experience
- Knowledge of ML, NLP, Information Retrieval and Analytics
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
- Experience building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business application
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- PhD in engineering, technology, computer science, machine learning, robotics, operations research, statistics, mathematics or equivalent quantitative field
- Experience building complex software systems, especially involving deep learning, machine learning and computer vision, that have been successfully delivered to customers
