Job Description

Designs electrical parts, modules and subsystems to support the design of whole systems. Responsible for the complete design process, including requirements specification, feasibility studies, cost and scheduling, conducting various analysis (such as circuit, timing, thermal/cooling, electrical loads), Thermal/cooling controls (thermal modeling, control and safety circuits, PID tuning), PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley), conceptual and detailed design using design tools (OrCAD, AutoCAD), detailed drawings, design review presentations, procurement of prototype parts, system integration, prototype testing, and handoff to manufacturing. These tasks will require working with other engineering groups such as mechanical software, systems, and manufacturing engineers to ensure flawless integration and test at the subsystem and system level.

Develop the required supporting documentation, such as assembly, test fixtures and procedures, and service manuals.

Job Description

Work closely with and manages suppliers to ensure all design requirements are specified and achieved. Address and resolve product issues through the product phases.

Preferred Qualifications

• PLC Programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley)
• Communication fieldbus protocols (e.g. CAN bus)
• Knowledge of controls (Thermal/Cooling modeling, Control and Safety circuits, PID Tuning)
• MATLAB, Python, LabVIEW
• Solid understanding of OrCAD, AutoCAD (CREO is a plus!)
• Strong problem analysis and solving capability
• Ability to diagnose problems and hands-on troubleshooting experience for complex electrical subsystems
• Enjoy working on groundbreaking technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
