JOB DESCRIPTION

You will report directly to our R&D Manager and you'll work out of our Des Plaines, IL location. This role is eligible for hybrid work mode, except for the first 90 days. Relocation support may be offered.

The annual base salary or/ hourly pay range for this position is $99,400 - $124,200. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute experimental protocols for iron flow battery systems.
  • Analyze and interpret data to understand electrochemical mechanisms and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate findings into the development process.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records and documentation.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, patents, and publications.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in flow battery technology.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations.
YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrochemistry research and development

• Hands-on experience with electrochemical characterization techniques and instrumentation.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

WE VALUE

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field

• Experience with electrical systems, battery management systems and power electronics
