Core responsibilities and day-to-day activities of the position:

  • Leading the team in an agile environment, communicating with the Product Manager, balancing workloads, and positioning the team for scalability
  • Setting of KPIs to ensure the proper delivery of the business goals
  • Allocating time for a hands-on personal example of a great development
  • Be part of the development of new features and maintain existing ones for our app on Shopify and Magento
  • Be part of the team that develops Yotpo SMS & Email on brand new eCommerce platforms
  • Be part of the team that builds and expands our API
  • Works with different stakeholders in our team members (DevOps, FE & BE Devs, R&D Manager, CEO)

Main Requirements:

  • Fluent use and understanding of PHP and/or Java, and their use in scalable applications
  • Extensive understanding of MVC, OOP, and essential Design Patterns
  • Familiarity of MySQL, NoSQL
  • Understanding how to use Docker Containers
  • Significant and proven experience with with PHP frameworks like Symfony, Laravel, CakePHP, Spring Boot
  • CI/CD experience, Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitHub Actions
  • End to end testing experience

It’s nice to have (but not mandatory)

  • Monitoring and Logging: Kibana, Elasticsearch, Cloudwatch, Grafana
  • NodeJS or/and Java understanding
  • Experience with API’s and API specifications (OpenAPI, Swagger)
  • Knowledge of AWS is a plus, ECS, S3, Lambda, SQS, SNS, API Gateway

  • Has strong collaboration skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
