We're seeking a passionate Software Development Manager to build and lead a new team of engineers who don't just write code – they craft elegant, scalable systems that are secure, resilient, and have best-in-class operational health and quality. As a leader of the CE Tech Engineering Excellence team, you'll be at the forefront of modernizing and revolutionizing our backend services and technology. You'll mentor and guide engineers in delivering multi-team initiatives that benefit customers while working with the latest technologies and setting new standards for engineering excellence. • Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team that deliver best-in-class solutions
• Drive technical strategy and roadmap planning across multiple teams and initiatives
• Champion engineering excellence, quality standards, and security best practices
• Partner with engineering leaders to align technical initiatives with business objectives
• Lead organizational transformation in modernizing our technology stack and practices
• Establish technical standards and best practices across the organization
• Oversee the modernization of aging systems into scalable, resilient, and secure systems that are kept up to date with the latest standards
• Drive adoption of emerging technologies and innovative solutions
• Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning
• Provide technical mentorship and career development opportunities
• Balance team workload and resource allocation across multiple projects
• Create opportunities for engineers to grow their technical and leadership skills
• Create positive relationships with key stakeholders across the organization

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
