The potential impact is huge, we have a lot on our plate, and we could use some help around here.Cloudinary is seeking an R&D Lead to lead the development of Moderation, a new product being built in its Emerging Business group. Moderation will leverage visual media AI to perform brand-aligned moderation of images and videos. We’re a small-sized, high-paced, and incredibly independent team. We take full end-to-end ownership of our product - from design and development to deployment and testing.ResponsibilitiesLead and be accountable for any and all development efforts, just like a Co-founder & CTOCo-lead the pod alongside its GM as a counterpartDevelop deep understanding of the target user persona’s needs, and passion for the underlying market problem, to build a product that would delight themLeverage Cloudinary’s powerful platform to get a product to market as soon as possible, only developing what will move the needleConstantly adjust focus to what is needed to make the product/venture successfulRequirements10+ years of professional experience as a developer5+ years of professional experience as a development managerProficient in Python and have experience with machine learning/LLM/Gen AI libraries and frameworksExtensive experience serving large Enterprise customers - a strong advantageStrong hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWSKnowledge of image or video technologies is an advantageKnowledge of cloud-based architectures and web technologiesEnthusiastic, humble, and user-centricEager to learn new thingsPrior experience in a startup environment is an advantage, ideally as a co-founderCloudinary is a leading cloud-based image and video management platform, and this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company and be a part of the develop ment and growth of a new, exciting product.
