Operations Group, Operations Group > Project Analyst
Assists a project by developing and managing processes, procedures, and tools designed to increase the project’s productivity and may play an integral role as the bridge between Project Managers and the project team. A Project Analyst is tasked to help manage a project’s non-technical requirements. Typically, a project needing a Project Analyst will be of significant size and will require expertise related to the development of project management mechanisms.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree.
Associate's degree and 2+ years of relevant work experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience supporting project management and execution.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Contributes to and updates project planning activities (e.g., plans, schedules, and work breakdown structure) to support Project Managers or Leads on large projects or processes.
• With support and guidance from managers, develops methods for tracking the progress and execution of complex projects to ensure deadlines are met.
• Assists with recommending improvements to new and established processes and methods (e.g. tracking tools, schedules, databases, documentation management systems) to increase efficiency and accomplish goals.
• Coordinates with a cross-functional team on projects to identify and meet needs, communicate progress, ensure compliance with processes and guidelines, and make recommendations.
Level of Responsibility:
• Works independently with minimal supervision.
• Provides supervision/guidance to other team members.
• Decision-making may affect work beyond immediate work group.
• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information. May require basic negotiation, influence, tact, etc.
• Tasks require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.
