Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Demonstrates solid Product Management, Project Management & Business Analytical skills working with cross-functional teams to deliver features and significant products.

  • Demonstrates Financial business acumen, knows latest industry trends and is looked at as an internal expert on the product.

  • Interacts with customers/stakeholders in VOC requirements-gathering, fine tuning, and obtaining product feedback.

  • Possesses a deep understanding of the technology stack and impact on final product.

  • Routinely collaborates with UX in design decisions. Conducts customer and stakeholder interviews and elaborates on personas.

  • Demonstrate superior persuasion and influencing skills that ensure alignment between customer, product manager and engineering teams.

  • Owns the Product Backlog, Product Roadmap & Releases.

  • Owns and manages the backlog; continuously orders and prioritizes to ensure that 1-2 sprints/iterations of backlog are always ready.

  • Prioritizes continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer problems and needs.

  • Demonstrates strategic level skills in problem decomposition and ability to navigate through ambiguity.

  • Engages frequently with the development team; facilitates discussions, provides clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation; contributes to design activities and decisions.

  • Translates unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work unit.

  • Excellent Communicator that can present ideas in a clear & concise manner. Collaborates with Leadership team, Business Users/Stakeholders, Architects, Developers, Product Support team, various internal teams to ensure healthy development process and implement solution.

  • Mentors junior team members.

  • Expert in Agile Methodology.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience

Desired Characteristics:

Technical Expertise:

  • Experience leading and delivering solutions built in Azure/AWS Cloud platforms, web-technologies like C#, .NET Core, Java, Spring Boot, Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs, GitHub, SQL Server, etc.

  • Strong knowledge of software design and coding principles

  • Keen interest to learning current and emerging technologies.

  • Experience working in an Agile environment.

Business Acumen:

  • Familiarity with Finance life cycle (leases / loans / asset management)

  • Adept at navigating the organizational matrix; understanding people's roles, can foresee obstacles, identify workarounds, leverage resources and rally teammates.

  • Understand how internal and/or external business model works and facilitate active customer engagement.

  • Able to articulate the value of what is most important to the business/customer to achieve outcomes.

  • Able to produce functional area information in sufficient detail for cross-functional teams to utilize, using presentation and storytelling concepts.

  • Possess extensive knowledge of full solution catalog within a business unit and proficiency in discussing each area at an advanced level.

  • Agile Scrum / Product Owner / PMI Certification

  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or equivalent quality certification

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of internal organization.

  • Foresee obstacles, identify workarounds, leverage resources, rally teammates.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with and/or lead blended teams, including 3rd party partners and customer personnel.

  • Demonstrated Change Management /Acceleration capabilities.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence across all organizational levels.

  • Proven analytical and problem resolution skills.

  • Ability to influence and build consensus with other Information Technology (IT) teams and leadership.

  • Pre-emptively sees downstream consequences and effectively tailors influencing strategy to support a positive outcome.

  • Able to verbalize what is behind decisions and downstream implications. Continuously reflecting on success and failures to improve performance and decision-making.

  • Understands when change is needed. Participates in technical strategy planning.

  • Has the ability to break down problems and layout plans.

  • Displays understanding of the project's value proposition for the customer. Shows commitment to deliver the best value proposition for the targeted customer.

  • Good organization skills including attention to detail.

  • Collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources.
