In this role, you will lead PILPS, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements while overseeing strategy implementation and daily operations. As a member of the Board of Directors (PILPS Board) and Entity Management Committees, you will provide key operational insights to support strategic decision-making.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the management and day-to-day running of PILPS
- Implements strategy and long-term objectives as agreed by the Board
- Implements the medium-term business plan and the budget of the entity, as agreed by the Board
- Leads, motivates, develops and mentors PILPS employees. Guides the internal controls framework and governance processes. Ensures the operation of a sound risk management framework and development of PILPS during the ISA licensing process.
- Sets clear expectations concerning the PILPS culture, values and behaviours. Demonstrate ethical leadership and promote the highest standards of integrity, probity and corporate governance throughout PILPS.
- Maintains a productive and collaborative team environment to ensure a strong regulatory and risk management focus in all activities at all times of PILPS.
- Leads and chairs meetings of the Management Committee
- Responsible for interactions with the regional and global group leaders to ensure proper reporting of PILPS matters
- Ensures that, as far as is practicable, the broad interests of PILPS and its customers are appropriately represented in relevant decision-making activities within the regional and Group
- Accountable for PILPS performance against objectives and targets
- Acts as a champion for PILPS internally and externally
Job Requirements
- University degree in a related business field
- Significant senior leadership level experience in a regulated financial services firm, preferably within a multi-national organization and with experience in payments or retail banking
- Experience leading high-performing, cross functional teams with demonstrated ability to motivate and develop such teams
- An understanding of the Israel regulatory environment and the context within which PayPal will be operating, including experience of liaising directly with regulators, government bodies and other authorities.
- Excellent market knowledge of existing and competing payments products and retail financial services in Israel
- Experience of being an Approved Person or Senior Manager under the ISA or CMA or other Israel or global regulator’s regulatory regimes would be desirable.
