Job Description

· Performs preventive maintenance, routine equipment repairs, and routine corrective maintenance on mechanical/HVAC equipment (compressors, air dryers, process cooling water systems, process vacuum systems, chilled water pumps, etc.) · Inspects major systems and identifies operating problems, performs minor troubleshooting, and minor repairs. · Performs rounds and readings to ensure equipment is operating normally. · Performs basic building operations including building automation monitoring, routine alarm response, and implementation of routine corrective actions. · Supports continuous improvement efforts for the site. · Must wear ANSI safety shoes composite toe and personal protective equipment. · Participates as an active member of site emergency response team, including hazardous material and hazardous waste spill response. · Must wear a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and be clean shaven at all times while performing job functions at the client site. · Performs confined space entry, attendant, and rescue duties. · Must successfully pass an initial and annual company arranged hazardous material medical physical exam. · Must successfully pass an initial and annual respirator fit test. · Must successfully complete Hazardous Waste Operations Training - 40-hour Hazwoper Training and annual 8-hour refresher course. · Must successfully complete training on the following subjects including but not limited to: 1st Aid/CPR, Respiratory Protection, Confined Space Entry, Confined Space Rescue. · Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. · Daily and punctual attendance in the job site is required. · No travel required.

Qualifications

Education/Experience · High School diploma or possession of a GED Certificate (Required) · 2 years of HVAC/mechanical experience (Required) · Basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting (Preferred) Education/Experience Equivalency · A combination of appropriate experience and education may be substituted for the minimum experience and education requirement Licensure and/or Certification · CFC certification (Preferred)

  • An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
  • The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
  • If your position is non-exempt, you are eligible for overtime pay pursuant to company policy and applicable laws. You may also be eligible for shift differential pay, depending on the shift to which you are assigned.
  • You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital’s Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance. Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan. Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan. RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to Western Digital’s Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
