Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for data mesh and data fabric initiatives, aligning with eBay's overall data strategy.

• Collaborate with domain engineering teams to promote distributed data ownership and accountability, enabling them to manage their own data as a product.

• Work with the Core Data Platform team to ensure the creation of high-quality, multipurpose datasets and maintain consistency across the organization.

• Establish and enforce data contracts, standards, and best practices to ensure data quality, availability, and compliance.

• Drive the adoption of data mesh principles, including decentralized data governance and domain-oriented data management.

• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to integrate data pipelines and improve data security and accessibility.

• Lead stakeholder engagement and gather feedback to continuously improve data management practices and product offerings.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in product management, particularly in data management or related fields.

• Strong understanding of data mesh and data fabric concepts, including distributed data ownership and data governance.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Experience in developing and implementing data strategies that enhance scalability and maintainability.

• Familiarity with data contracts, data standards, and data quality frameworks.
