Responsibilities:

• Collaborate effectively with 1st line partners, 2nd lines of defense (Compliance, Legal, Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management) and 3rd line of defense (Audit)

• Proactively analyze risk trends, identifying signs of changing risk levels and areas of emerging risk for ESM including reporting on risk topics to management

• Support annual Process Level Assessments (PLAs) and annual/off-cycle Process Criticality Assessments (PCAs); discuss risk profiles with ESM stakeholders to ensure these assessments reflect the current business processes and practices

• Manage oversight of the ESM control suite and serve as main contact for Business Controls Testing, SOC 2 Testing, and ad hoc control QA

• Serve as Issue Manager for ESM owned Issues and project manager for remediation activities ● Maintain ESM’s Business Continuity Plan as Plan Manager

• Lead other risk projects, as needed

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

• At least 3 years of experience with Process Management or Project Management

• At least 3 years of experience working in a Risk Management fiel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or military experience

• 4+ years of experience in process management

• 3+ years of experience with Business Process Management (BPM), Six Sigma or Lean process improvement techniques

• 4+ years of experience working in Risk Management

• 3+ years of experience in Third Party Management

• Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance software tools (Fuse at Capital One)

• Experience in controls development, controls management, and reporting activities
