This role is aligned directly with many CA State agencies and departments. The state government encompasses a wide range of technologies and environments, including healthcare, law enforcement, courts, transportation, tax & financial services, and much more. You will achieve scale by working with Cisco Partners to provide efficient and timely solutions to your customers. Additionally, you will both mentor and be mentored by other highly motivated and technical Cisco engineers who are eager to help you succeed.
You are an experienced Solutions Engineer with a strong background in network, collaboration, unified access, cybersecurity, and datacenter/virtualization. In a pre-sales technical role, you will partner with our Account Managers to showcase technology product solutions. Your industry knowledge and years of technology experience will aid in technical selling, explaining features and benefits to customers, and designing and configuring products to meet specific customer needs.- Stay updated on competitor solutions, products, and services to maintain a competitive edge.- Assist in developing formal sales plans and proposals for assigned opportunities.- Over 5 years of experience in networking, telecommunications, and datacenter industries, including experience with Cisco products or key competitor offerings in relevant technology areas.- CCNP/CCDP level experience or relevant industry certifications- Proven experience developing sophisticated projects while also advocating with key decision makers- Experienced in relevant solution sets, product line specifications, performance criteria, and applications.- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess a problem and determine an effective course of action.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong listening and presentation abilities- BS (EE/CS) or equivalent experience- Experience in sales engineering or equivalent
