Lead the external relations function in the Benelux market.
Your role:
Leading the reputation communications efforts of Philips in the Dutch home market. The reputation of Philips has always been strong, but needs to be strengthened again to first class, driven by strong, leading, proactive external relations activities by the Communications & Brand team of Philips Benelux. You will take end-to-end responsibility for strategic communications activities, designing and implementing campaigns that tell Philips’ story to key audiences in our home market with a focus on informed public, stakeholder, and societal audiences.
All external communications in the BNL area above product marketing level are your responsibility, ranging from corporate communications, PR, thought leadership, executive positioning, CSR, crisis communications, public affairs across all stakeholder relevant (B2B and B2C) audiences. You are responsible for developing an overall Communications Strategy & Planning for the Benelux, in close cooperation with members of the Communications & Brand team.
Press spokespersonship on key company topics, including crisis management issues, such as restructuring operations. You build and manage an effective network of media relevant for the company (all newsmedia e.g. TV, online journalists).
You are bringing the entire organization along on your quest to leverage strong communications & thought leadership activities to build the reputation of Philips in the Benelux. This is a director level position, responsible for managing a critical business & reputation function in our home market.
You drive ROI in everything you do, from securing top-tier media coverage, earned social media that draws attention and in the design of integrated, measurable corporate reputation campaigns.
You regularly interact with senior executives and/or major customers. You work on complex issues where analysis of situations and/ or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company.
You drive new ways of working across the communications value chain from audience definition and objective setting to content creation, activation, and project evaluation.
You're the right fit if:
You have over 10 years of experience in Healthcare or Technology (B2B) Communications.
You have prior agency (management) experience.
You have broad expertise in the field of reputation management and integrated communications and a success track record of localizing global brand and reputation strategy, and manage the execution with agency partners and global colleagues.
You have strong project management and organization skills and ability to lead internal and external resources. You are able to lead through influence and to work effectively with senior executives. You collaborate effectively with global teams.
You’ve got a strong ability to creatively solve problems.
You have proven strong integrated communications competencies: positioning, messaging and storytelling, including crisis- and PR-management, managing & influencing multiple senior stakeholders.
You possess strong analytical skills and rigor, are data driven and have the market intelligence aptitude and capability to track and measure success.
You’ve got excellent oral and written skills, and you are fluent in Dutch (critical requirement).
You have a Master’s degree in a relevant field.
