As an Assembly Mechanic Level 2 here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for assembling and testing various components and systems for our aerospace products. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products, contributing to the success of our aerospace business.

You will report directly to our Production Supervisor and you'll work out of our Memphis, TN location.

In this role, you will impact the performance and safety of our aerospace products, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assemble and test various components and systems according to engineering specifications and quality standards
  • Perform inspections and quality checks to ensure the accuracy and functionality of assembled products
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or defects in the assembly process
  • Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve assembly processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives

U.S. Citizen REQUIREMENTS

Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements

The DOT/FAA regulations require all employees, regular and temporary, in safety-sensitive positions, to be included in the Honeywell Anti-drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Plan.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office

  • Technical certification or associate degree in a related field
  • Experience in aerospace or aviation industry
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
