About the role:

The Principal Health

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, implement, and manage HEOR activities for the Urology business, partnering with the HEMA team and key internal and external stakeholders to develop HEOR outputs to support the market adoption of key products and advance understanding of specific disease areas.
  • Collaborate with the HEMA team to execute HEOR projects, including developing HEOR study protocols, selecting appropriate statistical methodologies, conducting data analyses using statistical analysis software, interpreting study results, and communicating key findings.
  • Work in collaboration with other HEOR team members to develop and execute HEOR studies to demonstrate the economic value of our BSC products through retrospective claims database analyses, burden of illness analyses, patient-reported outcomes, survey research, economic evaluation (decision modeling, budget impact models/analyses, cost-effectiveness analyses, cost-utility analysis), and evidence synthesis (targeted literature reviews, systematic literature reviews, clinical and economic dossiers for submission to health authorities, technology assessment boards, and payers).
  • Work with new product development teams to ensure HEOR needs are incorporated into product development, clinical evidenceplans, and timelines.
  • Author and publish manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals and present research findings at HEOR meetings, clinical conferences, and scientific symposia.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders in the medical devices and healthcare industries.
  • Provide HEOR-related training to cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, clinical, regulatory, and legal, to increase awareness and understanding of HEOR competencies and their role in supporting market adoption of products and therapies.

Required qualifications:

  • Formal training in health economics, Pharmacoeconomics/Pharmaceutical Economics,public health, health services research, epidemiology, biostatistics, or related discipline (Masters’ degree, PhD, PharmD, MD, or related fields of study).
  • 7+ years of full-time relevant HEOR experience, preferably with exposure to new medical technologies in Urology, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or biotechnology.
  • Proven track record of conducting administrative claims database analysis, with demonstrated outputs throughabstracts, publications, or interactive model applications.
  • Experience developing, authoring, and presenting peer-reviewed publications and abstracts at clinical and industry conferences.
  • Demonstrated success in executing HEOR studies aligned with business needs, including the ability to influence senior leadership.
  • Practical experience and expertise with statistical analysis software (e.g.,SPSS, SAS, Instant Health Data (IHD), STATA, R) and statistical methodologies (e.g., propensity score matching, survival analysis, logistic regression,generalized linear mixed models, etc).
  • Hands-on knowledge of economic evaluation, including cost-effectiveness analysis and budget impact analysis.
  • Understanding of global and US healthcare reimbursement, policy, health technology assessment, pricing, and market landscape assessments, including evaluation of evidence for coverage decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate across multiple functional areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to make effective decisions independently and thrive in a fast-paced, matrix environment with minimal supervision.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant HEOR experience, preferably in medical devices,Urology, pharmaceuticals, or biotechnology.
  • First or last authorship contributions on multiple peer-reviewed HEOR or clinical publications and abstracts.
  • Proven experience building and delivering health economic modeling outputs, including retrospective cohort analysis, cost-effectiveness analyses, and budget impact models.
  • Proficiency in decision analysis software (Excel, Visual Basic for Applications/VBA, TreeAge, R).
