Senior R&D Project Manager
Job DescriptionAs a Senior R&D Project Manager, you will lead R&D projects and be a key member of integral projects, overseeing the R&D project scope within the global IGT Systems R&D project management framework. You will guide, coach, and motivate R&D program and project managers, ensuring the timely delivery and quality of all R&D projects under your supervision. Moreover, you will drive the overall performance and transformational goals of the IGT Systems R&D PMO.
Your Role:
- Lead R&D projects and be a key member of integral projects, managing the project scope within the global IGT Systems R&D framework.
- Guide, coach, and motivate R&D program and project managers and ensure optimal allocation of your direct reports to achieve timely delivery and quality of all R&D projects.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of R&D PMO to drive performance and transformational goals.
- Act as an ambassador for continuous improvement within the organization.
- Be co-responsible for achieving operational plans and goals while guiding the project team members and other program managers, including agile software development.
- Represent the project team in overall project optimization.
- Drive daily management and methodical problem-solving.
- Ensure effective transfer and archiving of project results and associated knowledge.
- Drive performance appraisals, education and training of your direct reports
- Build and maintain the project organization, select appropriate tools, and define interfaces with other functions.
- Support continuous improvement of teams and make the project organization efficient and transparent.
- Ensures an engaged, innovative, and inspiring working environment by motivating, challenging, developing and coaching your direct reports toward growth
- Develop project plans, manage resources, ensure quality standards, and mitigate risks to deliver successful outcomes.
- Report on project performance, ensure requirements are met, and manage stakeholder relationships to maintain high-quality deliverables.
You're the Right Fit if You Have:
- BSc/ MSc in computer science/ electrical/ mechanical/ hardware engineering.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in project management.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a regulated medical device business with complex products.
- A technical affinity with software and, to a lesser extent, hardware.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A process-minded approach with the ability to analyze data and apply statistical techniques.
- Fluency in English.
- Knowledge of global regulations, requirements, and standards (MDR, 21 CFR Parts 803, 806, 820, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and ISO 14971) is an advantage.
