Senior R&D Lead - Ambient Experience
Job DescriptionAs the Senior R&D Lead for Ambient Experience (AE) at Philips, you'll be the driving force behind turning innovative ideas into tangible solutions that enhance patient and staff experiences. With a pragmatic approach and a focus on delivering results, you'll lead the charge in bringing projects to fruition while ensuring adherence to processes and proactive problem-solving.
Your role:
- You'll take ownership of building an efficient R&D organization, defining key interfaces across AE, and managing R&D budgets
- In this critical leadership role, you'll spearhead the Innovation to Market (I2M) stream for AE, translating user requirements into technical specifications and overseeing the development and delivery of high-tech solutions.
- Leading a team of approximately 15 full-time equivalents (FTEs), you'll foster a culture of pragmatism, accountability, and proactive problem-solving to ensure project success.
- Collaborating closely with senior project leads, software experts, and business leads, you'll drive the development of innovative solutions across hardware, software, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and consultancy services.
- Your focus will be on delivering results and realizing projects, while also acting as a process owner to ensure adherence to Quality Management System (QMS) processes and compliance with regulatory standards.

You're the right fit if:
- You hold a master’s or equivalent Engineering degree or other relevant field (preference for software engineering).
- You have 5+ years of experience in program development and execution, including successful program management and utilization of professional methodologies.
- You have 5+ years of experience in digital technology domains (digital healthcare experience is preferred).
- You have strong knowledge and expertise in software engineering and have an affinity for hardware.
- You have a proven track record of translating user requirements into technical specifications, influencing senior leadership, and driving projects to completion.
- Your expertise includes developing solutions comprising hardware, software, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and consultancy services, along with strong stakeholder management skills and a commitment to delivering results within time and budget constraints.
- You have a proactive approach to problem-solving, and your way of working is characterized by ownership, pragmatism, and a focus on project realization.
- You are a resilient leader with excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills. You are able to successfully navigate challenges and adapt to change.
