Jacobs is seeking a dynamic SCADA & Automation Specialist professional to support our OMFS facilities within the South region. Your role will enable our regional ICS team to better serve and maintain our operational facilities. As a SCADA & Automation Specialist, you'll be part of the Regional Services Group and support the ICS Solutions Manager as we work with our facilities to provide world-class Control Systems & OT services that enable the daily treatment of water and wastewater throughout the region. As a SCADA & Automation Specialist, you'll be involved in all parts of the projects solving complex problems, taking a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions, identifying applications of functional knowledge, and applying existing methodologies to complex problems.  You'll maintain a diverse deployment of SCADA systems from Rockwell Automation, GE iFix and Inductive Automation as well as maintain current installations of Allen Bradley, Modicon, and GE PLCs. You'll alsobe responsible for developing and implementing upgrades across projects of differing sizes and budgets. You’ll work with the best Engineers and Project Managers in the business, as well as gain experience working directly with our clients. Ideal candidates will be eager to learn more and develop skills in primary and secondary areas, such as networking, Industrial Cyber Security, instrumentation. Typical Duties: • Traveling to facilities throughout the region (up to 50% Travel) • Configuring, commissioning, and maintaining Control Panels, PLCs, and SCADA Systems • Supporting the installation of Control Panels, PLCs, & SCADA Servers, and Workstations • Troubleshooting process control issues • Troubleshooting SCADA communications issues • Assist with troubleshooting process control issues • Remotely monitor assets across facilities and identify maintenance needs or service degradation •Remotely Apply minor updates and fixes to existing SCADA & PLC systems • Work with facility managers to identify technology needs • Document existing infrastructure • Collaborate with other disciplines on equipment functional testing, installation & startup • Configure equipment to conform to process control and resiliency standards • Manage SCADA user accounts and access controls • Design and troubleshoot ICS related components including PLCs, servers/workstations, control panels, field instruments, radios, industrial network switches, and firewalls. • Conduct site evaluations and make recommendations for control systems upgrades. Here's what you'll need

• 5+ Years experience in Control System Design, PLC Programing, & SCADA Development • Technical school training in Instrumentation, Electrical and programming. • 5+ years of general experience in PLC /HMI control systems, development of control system architecture, Radio Telemetry systems, SCADA Network design, development of P&IDs. • Experience with industrial PLC programming and hardware implementation (e.g., Allen Bradley PLC5 through ControlLogix, Modicon, Siemens, GE). • Experience with industrial HMI programming and implementation (e.g., Allen Bradley FTView, GE iFix, Wonderware, VTSCADA). • Experience with IT or OT networking and virtual machine (VM) implementation. • Team player, ability to work independently. • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Excellent presentation skills to small audiences Ideally, you’ll also have: • Possess a knowledge of municipal water/wastewater treatment processes and control systems, and information solution products. • Experience with SCADA Network design and build. • Experience with Radio telemetry design and build. • Experience with SCADA System Integration including panel building, field wiring, testing, and commissioning of systems • Certifications/Training: Relevant SCADA & PLC OEM certifications • Experience with reviewing and creating designs for control systems, panel layouts, network architectures, and instrument location plans. Other Requirements: • Requires lifting and carrying equipment up to 25 lbs. Extended periods of sitting while on PC/laptop or phone. • Extended periods of walking throughout industrial facilities both inside and outside. • May require climbing, working at heights, and in small, confined spaces such as under raised floors, inside closets, and server racks. Must be able to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch for long periods. Work in loud areas with hotter and colder temperatures than standard office environmental conditions. Liftand transport equipment up to 50 pounds. • Experience with general office equipment, which includes telephone, copier, PC/laptop, and other miscellaneous office equipment. • Servers, switches, routers, and other computer equipment that supports the commercial and industrial network environment. • Industrial Control Equipment: VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, Embedded devices, Radios, etc. • Operating hand tools, power tools, ladders, and test equipment. Location and Travel: • Lives within an hour of a major airport. • Lives within the southern half of the United States. • Estimated (up to 50%) travel throughout the south half of the United States will be required. • Candidate must maintain a valid driver's license with no major infractions. • Candidate must maintain a valid ‘REAL ID’ driver’s license or other TSA-approved identification. • Reliable transportation for commuting to local project sites that don’t require rental vehicles.
