The Senior DBA role will be responsible for database design, data architecture, and data modeling.
The Senior DBA will evaluate, configure, and install database management systems.
The Senior DBA will be involved in database design and database release processes.
The Senior DBA will work closely with architects and peers to resolve application development and production issues.This is a remote position; however you may be required to be onsite at our Bangalore office on as-needed basis.

About the role :

• We are looking for a Senior DBA to work with the DBA and Application Development teams.
• You will work with Operational, Infrastructure, Application Development, Product Managers, Project Managers, Information Security, and other teams across the organization.
• You will provide database design recommendations, and conduct DBA activities for Non-Production and Production environments.
• You will create and maintain Database systems in Production and Non-Production environments.
• You will design and conduct data migration, database backup & database recovery activities.
• You will be involved in Database Design and Data Architecture/ Data Modeling activities using ERWIN.
• Also, the main activities will include the Database optimization of the non-production and production systems and working with development and infrastructure teams.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related fields preferred.
• 7 plus years of Database Administration experience with Postgres , SQL Server, and any other database platforms in AWS Environment.
• Great experience in Postgres, AWS , Database Design and Database Architecture.
• It would be good if you have DBA experience in SQL Server, No-SQL databases, database security, Terraform, Linux, database backup and disaster recovery, GitHub, Erwin, Jira, and ITIL tools.
• Ability to lead projects, multi-tasking, ability to work with application development, infrastructure, operational, and information security teams.
• Good experience in a cloud-based database engineering ecosystem like AWS.
• Understanding of scalable computing systems, data architecture/data modeling, software architecture, database structures, and algorithms.
• Working proficiency in a Linux environment.
• Good database architecture, project management, and communication skills including data analysis and database strategies.
