Key Responsibilities:
- Review new mechanical systems and components focusing on Safety elements.
- Conduct and oversee investigations related to mechanical failures, performance issues, and design improvements.
- Perform detailed analysis and simulations of suspended mass systems to ensure stability, safety, and efficiency.
- Provide independent reviews of mechanical design for the MI and other business units, such as the CT BU.
- Develop and maintain high quality processes for design documentation, including specifications, drawings, and test plans.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Mentor and train junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and suspended mass analysis technologies.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in mechanical design, FEA, Tolerance analysis, GD&T and motion control mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years in a technical leadership role.
- Proven experience and deep understanding in XFMEA’s and failure investigations.
- Proven expertise in suspended mass of dynamic and rotational systems.
- Experience in thermal analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
